When you open Facebook and click on the menu button in your app, you may have noticed a carousel of options labelled as ‘Your Shortcuts’.

These are quick single-click buttons that will take you directly to pages, groups, and profiles that you visit on a regular basis – and are determined by your activity and the frequency with which you visit certain corner of the Facebook app.

The more you search for and visit a page or user profile, the higher the chances of its appearing on ‘Your Shortcuts’ carousel.

## Can You Remove Shortcuts?

Because Facebook tracks activity and uses it to determine which pages, groups, and profiles to offer as shortcuts, there is no specific way to remove them – rather, you can stop visiting a page as frequently to try and unseat it from a coveted shortcut position.

So, if there is a page that is currently listed as a shortcut that you want to remove from this position, you will need to stop visiting the page – and perhaps visit other pages more frequently – to replace the unwanted shortcut with something new.

To cut a long story short, your shortcuts on Facebook are determined solely by your activity and the pages, profiles, and groups that you regularly search for, click on, and/or visit. They are designed to be convenient and to make your browsing even easier and more seamless.

We hope this helps!
