## 5 Steps to Remove an Ad Account

- Ensure that you have full control over the ads account before attempting to close the account. It’s also essential to note that you must complete this process from a computer device, not a smartphone or via the app
- Head into the Ads Manager Settings on your page or Meta Ads Manager account
- Select ‘Deactivate Ad Account’
- Confirm the action and provide a reason why you are removing your ads account, when prompted to do so
- Click ‘Deactivate Ad Account’ one final time

Any outstanding balance relating to recent or even current ads will be charged to the credit card that you previously connected to your Ads Manager account. Once this has been done, Facebook and the Meta Ads Manager will remove all trace of your credit card from the account – something that you should check in on after two working days.
